The Wadiyar dynastyor Wodiyar dynasty ruled the Kingdom of Mysuru from 1399 to 1947. After getting independence from the British rule in 1947, the Kingdom of Mysuru joined in the subsequent unification of Indian dominion and princely states into the Republic of India.
