Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is a release to meet the requirements of low-mid range consumers. The 6.26″ display is huge and the Full HD+ quality with 403 ppi is just perfect for the budget. Furthermore, the back is made of aluminum metal and a Gorilla Glass protects the screen. There is no version specified for the Gorilla Glass. Most of the cases, those are then 3rd generation Gorilla Glasses which should provide strong enough protection. The body should have some resistance to splashes which is a fine positive. But the phone is not waterproof and there is no warranty for water damages. So, one should still be careful around water. These are some strong qualities regarding design and display. There is a big notch on top of the display that has the dual front camera setup with some sensors.
The 12+5 MP dual back camera features 27 different scene recognition to optimize photos based on the surroundings or scenario. There is also AI dynamic bokeh which will lets the user to replace the bokeh lights in the background with swirls and shapes. The dual-pixel autofocus improves autofocus and with the 1.4μm pixels, one can capture much brighter photos in low-light ambience. The 20+2 MP dual front camera features portrait mode and there is 4-in-1 Super Pixels to improve close-up shots. The brightness, details, sharpness and color-contrast works pretty well. A bit of soft toning can be visible through its AI feature in the background. There is good quality Full HD video recording with stabilization. Furthermore, a third party app can be installed to record Ultra HD or 4K videos too.
When it comes to the performance, this is another Xiaomi phone which looks pretty attractive with a fast 14 nm Snapdragon 636 chipset for a fairly lower price. Speed should not be an issue in this device. 4000 mAh big battery is a fine advantage as well. There is no advanced 15W or 18W fast charging. But the 10W 5V/2A charging is in the fast charging category which may take about 2 hours to fully charge the phone. There is also OTG, fast fingerprint, face unlock, IR Blaster remote control, FM radio with recording, LED notification light in the front etc. features in Redmi Note 6 Pro.
